Expert Kitchen Renovations and Remodels
A kitchen is more than just a place to cook; it’s the heart of your home. Whether you’re looking to modernize your space, improve functionality, or increase your property value, a Denver kitchen renovation can be a game-changer. This is especially true if you have a galley kitchen or a kitchen with limited space.
Why Remodel Your Kitchen?
The Highest Value for Your Home
A kitchen remodel is one of the most impactful home improvement projects you can undertake. Here are some reasons why homeowners especially in Denver, Colorado, are opting for kitchen renovations:
Enhanced Functionality: Tight or outdated layouts can hinder your cooking and dining experience. A remodel allows you to shorten the steps needed to move from stove to refrigerator to dishwasher, add shelfing space, or simply make it easier to reach into your cabinet.
Increased Home Value: A well-executed kitchen remodel can significantly boost your property’s resale value.
Energy Efficiency: Upgrading to energy-efficient appliances and lighting can reduce utility bills, and reduce appliance noises.
Aesthetic Appeal: A fresh design can transform your kitchen into a stylish and inviting space, for hosting family, friends, groups and neighbors.

You may also want to add some canned lighting or simply keep what is existing but change out the fixture for a touch of elegance. Other options include your sink tub style and sink faucet. Design Ideas & Inspiration
White Kitchens
White kitchen cabinets, white backsplashes, with quartz white countertops are the primary trend at the moment in the Denver market. Remodeling with white allows you to create your own accents that can be easily removed later on if the home is sold.
Open-Concept Layouts, L shaped kitchens and U shaped kitchens
Removing walls can create wonderful flow between the kitchen and living areas. Sometimes a complete wall removal is unnecessary or undesired in which case the wall can often be cut down vertically or horizontally to achieve more open design. In recent projects, we have also had great success keeping existing walls (often necessary for structural support) but carving out an open window space, allowing for that desired open-concept visibility.
Two-Tone Cabinets and Natural Elements
The latest trends combine two different cabinet colors (one in the island and the other on the wall, or one color for the uppers and another color for the base) to add a bit of a dynamic look. This can work wonderfully if you are wanting to have a woodgrain or natural look but don’t want the whole kitchen to look like the old-fashioned oak cabinets of the 90s. You can also incorporate materials like live-edge wood and stone for shelfing that can bring that warmth and texture to your space.
Commonly Asked Questions About Kitchen Renovations
What is the average cost to remodel a kitchen in Denver?
This is the BIG question. The average cost of kitchen remodels in Colorado varies WIDELY due to a few things: 1) the quality of cabinets and trim, and 2) which contractor is quoting you for labor. There is a high mark-up on kitchen remodels, and the more you know about the materials pricing, the better pricing you will be able to get!
In order of most to least expensive, the cost of the materials for a kitchen remodel are:
Cabinets (by far the bulk of the expense)
Countertops
Appliances
Flooring
Backsplash
Fixtures and Lights
On average, a kitchen remodel in Denver can cost between $15,000 and $40,000, depending on the size of the kitchen, the amount of labor, and the quality of the materials. The range is very wide and depends on the cabinets you want, the appliances, fixtures, and size of the kitchen.
Do you offer free on-site estimates/
Of course, we offer free consultations and estimates. Another great way of finding out how much cabinets will cost is to take your Kitchen measurements to Lowe’s where they will provide a free printout of a basic kitchen design. This will give you a ballpark of cabinet costs, and possibly countertop and backsplash, so that at least you have a sense of builder-grade material costs.
Can I buy my own cabinets?
YES! For the most part, you can buy your own materials to save on mark ups. However, it is crucial that you buy from places with an easy and fast return process, especially with regards to cabinets, as these require exact measurements. With cabinetry and countertops, I can provide wholesale pricing as well that may be below what you can find.
If I buy RTA cabinets, can you make and install them?
RTA cabinets are always a tricky subject. While they do seem cheaper for a better quality finish and hinges, they have to be assembled, and this takes quite a lot of labor and time. Of course, I can work with these but there would be an additional charge per cabinet for assembly. Additionally keep in mind that cabinets assembled by manufacturer have a tighter assembly and squarer corners due to the robotics used. Preassembled direct from manufacturer will be the tightest and best assembly labor, with next in line being RTAs assembled by professional cabinet makers, and finally RTA cabinets assembled by your contractor or yourself.
How can I reduce my kitchen remodel costs?
While there may be little room around labor to reduce the cost, you can find good savings by purchasing well and limiting the design of the kitchen. For example, if you like the open-air look kitchens, you could consider removing all upper cabinets. If you are a careful homeowner when it comes to your countertop, you could use a strong quality, sealed butcher block. If you do not need brand new appliances, you can source near new or out of box appliances. Reducing pricing on high ticket items can have a substantial reduction in costs. We can discuss together ways that can save you money but still get your kitchen remodeled.
How long will a remodel take?
The timeline really does depend primarily on your cabinets. If you are willing to source locally, this can reduce your time by 4-8 weeks. Depends on the complexity of the rough-in work (meaning changes in plumbing, electrical or walls), a typical kitchen remodel can take 6-12 weeks from start to finish. .
Can I live in my house during a kitchen remodel?
It can be inconvenient, but it is possible. If you are able to eat out a bit and safely use a plug-in stove for the rest of the time (for example in the garage), you will be able to endure a kitchen remodel!
Ensuring A Seamless Kitchen Renovation Experience
Expertise
A kitchen remodel requires adequate preplanning to ensure materials match and come in on time and on budget. Opting for the right Denver kitchen contractor ensures familiarity with both what materials are readily available and what codes need to be met.
High Value
Time over time, from Lakewood to Parker Colorado, a remodeled kitchen will substantially increase resale value of a property. Due to the high prices of homes in Colorado, Denver homeowners often prioritize durability and value. Selecting high-quality materials such as stone countertops, moisture-resistant flooring, and solid wood cabinet doors can make all the difference in a lasting renovation.
Creativity is Key!
While trends are inspiring, the best kitchen designs reflect the homeowner’s needs. For example, if you have a small kitchen remodel, you may be able to minimize cost but increase space by removing the upper cabinets, without having to cut walls or create substantial layout changes. For families, maximizing storage and workspace might be key, while those who love entertaining might prioritize a large island or even the installation of a wine cooler. Think about how you use your kitchen daily and design around what you really want if you could have it! We can make it happen!
